Sturmboot-Anhänger (Sd. Ah. 108)
This two-axle trailer
for assault boats features a chassis frame and a steel pipe drawbar with a drawbar eye. The special trailer was delivered
to the Wehrmacht from 1940 and designed to carry the assault boat Pionier-Sturmboot 39 and its outboard motor. The Luftwaffe
converted this particular assault trailer into a platform trailer in order to transport anti-aircraft (Flak) ammunition in
and around the city of Linz. After the war, the trailer was used in agriculture – mostly as an all-purpose trailer for a farmer
who mothballed it in 2009 and later sold it to our collection.
