Sturmboot-Anhänger (Sd. Ah. 108)

This two-axle trailer for assault boats features a chassis frame and a steel pipe drawbar with a drawbar eye. The special trailer was delivered to the Wehrmacht from 1940 and designed to carry the assault boat Pionier-Sturmboot 39 and its outboard motor. The Luftwaffe converted this particular assault trailer into a platform trailer in order to transport anti-aircraft (Flak) ammunition in and around the city of Linz. After the war, the trailer was used in agriculture – mostly as an all-purpose trailer for a farmer who mothballed it in 2009 and later sold it to our collection.

Einheitsfahrgestell A2

A two-axle standardised trailer chassis, towed by wheel tractors or medium-duty lorries. The trailer was developed on behalf of the Ministry of Aviation and was used in various platform configurations in the Luftwaffe, the Kriegsmarine (navy) and the German Army. Manufacturer code: FDH.

Army wagon from WW I and II

After the Wehrmacht surrendered in 1945, this wagon was abandoned in the Upper Austrian town of Kefermarkt, where it was used for farming until 1964. Any information on this wagon or its wheels would be appreciated.

Light Wehrmacht wagon

This wagon, fitted with the well-known disc wheels of the motorcycle trailer, was operated in the panzer assembly plant Nibelungenwerk in St. Valentin. It could be towed by the Zündapp KS 750, BMW R75 or the Kettenkrad Typ HK 101.

Agricultural timber trailer on tank track wheels

The wheels on this agricultural trailer, in use until 2016, were presumably taken from a Kettenkrad and a Panzer IV.

Army hand cart and pony cart

This army hand cart comes from the greater Linz area. Following Germany’s surrender, farmers commandeered the cart and used it until 1989. The pony cart on Kettenkrad wheels was discovered in Lengenfeld near Krems, where it was in use until 2008. Please let us know if you have any clues as to the manufacturers of the carts.
